She started working at CRI in 2014 as a technician in the Molecular laboratory and has since been promoted to Molecular Diagnostician.

In general, the Disease management division in CRI focusses mainly on graft-transmissible diseases of citrus. She investigates the effect that certain viroids may have on tree health and production. This also includes the examination of the sensitivity of commercial rootstocks to certain viroid species. She is also responsible for running, maintaining and improving the diagnostic systems for the CIS at Nelspruit.
She has submitted an article for publication in the SA Fruit Journal on Citrus viroids regarding their recent re-emergence in commercial orchards and the challenges faced due to this rediscovery.
