Joined CRI as an intern for the molecular laboratory in February 2017 and was permanently appointed as a Graft Transmissible Disease (GTD) Technician in April 2018.

  • BSc. (Hons) Microbiology at the University of Pretoria (2016)

 

Current Research Focus 
  • Shoot tip grafting (STG) for the Citrus Improvement Scheme (CIS)
  • Development and optimisation of a detection assay for Citrus virus A (CiVA)
  • Diagnostic services for Biosecurity through the molecular testing of plant material and insects for the presence of Liberibacter africanus (Laf)
  • General involvement and molecular testing for all GTD projects
