CRI Assistant Fleet and Maintenance Manager

Citrus Research International (CRI) aims to maximise the long-term global competitiveness of the southern African citrus growers through the development, support, co-ordination and provision of Research, Technical and Extension services. South Africa is the second largest exporter of citrus in the world and is heavily reliant on CRI research and technical support services to maintain this position. CRI is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Fleet and Maintenance Manager with a dynamic individual with a strong proven skills base, who will report to the Fleet and Maintenance Manager. The Assistant Fleet and Maintenance Manager will have knowledge of cooling rooms and aircons, plumbing and electrical.
The main task headings for this position are as follows:
• Maintenance at CRC Nelspruit facility
• Management of vehicle fleet (incl. spray machines, fines trailers, etc.)
• Ensure of health and safety compliance re. facilities and fleet
• Property Security
• Provide support for ad hoc requirements and new projects
The minimum requirement for this position is managing company facilities and fleet, with relevant experience in the following areas:
• Five (5) years or more years of working experience in managing company facilities and fleet with relevant certification
• Relevant mechanical, building, electrical, cooling rooms and aircon certifications
• Knowledge of health and safety obligations
• Legal driver’s license.
