Application of this notice

This privacy notice applies to any person who accesses or registers on our website or any of our platforms, regardless of the device used to access it (eg a computer, mobile phone, tablet etc)

This policy does not apply to other parties’ sites, products or services, such as sites linked to, from or advertised on our site, or sites which link to or advertise our site.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We retain all personal information we collect from you unless there is a valid technical, legal or business reason for us to delete or destroy it.

All information you provide us with is stored on our secure servers.

  • We require you to enter a password when logging in to certain sections of our website.
  • We do not require your credit card details. If we need to make a payment to you, we will request and invoice with your banking details and make payment directly to your chosen bank account. We will keep payment records on secure servers. We will not disclose your banking details to any third party.
  • Where we allocate or replace a password that enables you to access certain sections of our site, we will not store it. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Please notify us immediately if you become aware that your password may have become compromised and/or accessed by an unauthorised party.
  • From time-to-time we review our information collection, storage, and processing practices; including physical security measures, to keep up-to-date with best practices.
  • We create a secure backup for operational, and safety purposes.

Linking to third party sites

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of a third party site to which there may be a link on our site or to which you may log in from our site.

Your rights as a data subject

At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal data, you have the following rights:

Citrus Research International (Pty) Ltd (known as CRI) is a business in the citrus industry that focuses on research.

Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 5 business days and delivery confirmed by way ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­email.

Export restriction
The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.

Return and Refunds policy
The provision of goods and services by CRI is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, CRI will refund the client in full within 30 days.
Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10 % administration fee.

Customer privacy policy
CRI shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment options accepted
Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the CRI bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

Credit card acquiring and security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for CRI via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by CRI separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za

Merchant outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Responsibility
CRI takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and CRI chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 2 Baker street, Nelspruit, 1200.

Variation
CRI may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
